The Grant Napear Show - January 19, 2012

One day closer to Sunday's NFC Championship shootout between the 49ers and Giants and today's show followed that theme, with a list of guests prepared to dissect every facet of each team and provide the best insight to have you prepared for what's sure to be an incredible football game.

The Kings also had a huge comeback win at home last night against the Pacers and the Sacramento Faithful were eager to chime in on the victory and the spark provided by rookie Isaiah Thomas.

In hour two, Grant and Chris Landry of Fox Sports Radio broke down the NFC Championship game rematch between the 49ers and the New York Giants. Landry expects a low-scoring battle, with both teams possibly scoring under twenty points on a potentially soggy surface at Candlestick. Chris and Grant outlined some of the keys on each side of the ball for both teams.

After an extended rant highlighting Grant's uncanny ability to get seated next to the largest, foulest-smelling individual at any given event (especially on airplanes), Tim Ryan, NFL analyst for Fox and 49ers' preseason broadcasts, joined the show to look ahead to the NFC Championship Game on Sunday. Ryan said the Giants will aim to take away the plays that led the 49ers to success against the Saints. The Giants are as hot as any team in football after knocking off the Packers last week but have already lost once this season in San Francisco, creating an intriguing storyline for Sunday.

After more calls on both the 49ers and the Kings, Grant closed out the show by continuing his previews of Championship Weekend with Giants' radio voice and NFL Network commentator Bob Papa, exploring the ins-and-outs of how each team can best prepare for success as well as which position matchups will make the difference on each side.
