Stockton Pimp Sentenced To 27 Years After Pleading Guilty
STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton man arrested in July 2010 for pimping, pandering, rape and kidnapping has plead guilty to the charges and faces a lengthy prison sentence, according to police.
Christopher Chessman, 23, was sentenced to 27 years in state prison and must register as a sex offender. In some of the cases against Chessman, he forced girls as young as 13 into a life of prostitution, police said.
"We are pleased to announce this and know Mr. Chessman will no longer be a threat to our community," Stockton Police Department Officer Pete Smith said in a press release announcing the guilty plea.
Smith said Chessman preyed on runaways and that one of his victims was from a foster home. Smith said Chessman used the Internet to contact his victims.
