The Grant Napear Show – January 25, 2012
Today on the Grant Napear Show, football and basketball were the main topics of discussion. Grant took calls about the NFC Championship game, the 49ers and Raiders’s offseason plans, as well as the Sacramento Kings. Grant interviewed Steve Wyche and Mike Pereira. Jason Ross interviewed Dan Brown.
Steve Wyche from NFL Network joined Grant today. Grant and Steve discussed the Raiders and Reggie McKenzie’s hiring of Dennis Allen. Then Steve talked about Super Bowl 46 and how the New England Patriots and New York Giants matchup against each other. He also talked about what the 49ers need to improve on in order to continue to be successful.
Mike Pereira of Fox Sports was on with Grant today to discuss some of the calls by officials in the NFL postseason. He talked about the forward progress call in the NFC Championship game as well as the no-catch call in the AFC Championship game. Grant and Mike also discussed helmet-to-helmet contact calls around the NFL, and which players are protected and which ones aren’t.
Dan Brown from the San Jose Mercury News joined Jason today. Dan talked about Kyle Williams and how he handled the mistakes that he made in the NFC Championship. He also discussed what the 49ers need to improve on to keep up with the high octane offenses in the NFC.
