Driver Attempts To Flee After Serious South Sac Accident

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Three people have been hospitalized after a major crash after another driver allegedly ran a red light in South Sacramento on Saturday evening.

The Sacramento Police Department said the driver of a white sedan ran a red light while fleeing authorities at the intersection of 65th Street Expressway and Stockton Bouelvard, hitting a red Jeep with three occupants.

The Jeep was flipped over onto its roof, causing injuries to all three occupants, who were taken to the hospital.

The driver of the suspect’s vehicle fled on foot but was soon apprehended by authorities.

The severity of the victims’ injuries have not been released.
