Folsom Boy, 8, Already Making Beautiful Music On Piano

FOLSOM (CBS13) - A local boy is being called a piano playing prodigy.

Dominic Pang is only 8 years old but he's already been playing for half his life.

"I like how the hammers hit the string and it makes the sound," he says.

Dominic has won numerous awards and has already played at New York City's Carnegie Hall three times.

His favorite is classical music. Dominic says there's something in Mozart and Bach that inspires him to put more emotion into his music.

The Folsom second grader, who also plays the chello, can play piano with his eyes closed. He hopes to one day perform with a live orchestra and to also become a piano teacher.

In the meantime, he is getting reading for another full orchestra concert at Three Stages in Folsom this June.
