KHTK: The Don Geronimo Show 640x480
KHTK Personality: Don Geronimo

Reporting Don Geronimo

Today, Don begins with a classic East Coast Bob call to a radio show called “Swap Shop.” He then tells us that the ratings for the station are the highest in its entire history! We also find out that our show is #2 in the male demo! Don thanks all of his loyal listeners for such great numbers, and then tells us about the San Diego Program Director with all the bad suggestions, leaving Don a voice mail after hearing us talk about him yesterday. Don didn’t play the vm, as the guy requested, but did transcribe the rambling, and it turns out the guy is an even bigger ass than we thought! Don then picks up where he and Dave left off yesterday in their Star Trek discussion, by playing a few Star Trek clips, including a series of scenes, where Warf, the Klingon, is told “no” by just about everyone on the Starship Enterprise.

Don then plays the 911 call from Daniel Von Bargen (Mr. Krueger on Seinfeld), who apparently tried to commit suicide via gunshot to the head, but failed. Don then calls the 1-800 customer service numbers of big name companies such as Panasonic and Best Buy, and uses the John Wayne soundboard on them. After playing a song Don found in his jukebox entitiled “Stroke My Yolk,” and more Star Trek, Dave explains why the Sacramento City Council pushed back the arena vote a week, and why that is a good thing. We then hear Mitt Romney’s “George Costanza” comment in last night’s GOP debate, as well as Rick Santorum getting booed a few times. We then hear from the lawyer of Whitney Houston’s family, who explains the Bobby Brown controversy at Whitney’s funeral.

After Dave damn near craps his pants while trying to fart during Phantom’s sports update, the guys play “Stump The Stoop.” This time, Little Joe picked 100 disco tunes, which Don of course dominates at. It’s then time for the “Phantom News Hour.” Among the stories today: The Sacramento City Council pushing back the arena vote, a Kentucky strip club suing another local strip club for “calling their girls ugly,” a NYC vodka billboard gets pulled for it’s “hooker” slogan, and the top 5 movies starring pro wrestlers. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
