NBA Commissioner David Stern Talks With Grant Napear About The Vote To Build A New Arena

NBA Commissioner David Stern calls The Grant Napear Show to talk about the latest news after the Sacramento City Council vote to build a new sports and entertainment complex in Sacramento passed. Stern talks about Mayor Kevin Johnson’s pivotal role in getting the deal done and vote passed. Stern also gives his thoughts on how Sacramento can succeed with the new Collective Bargaining Agreement as it is, “All about management, and it’s a resounding yes.” The Commissioner compares Sacramento to other small market teams in the NBA and talks about a new model that will bring even more help to the Kings and other small markets. Lastly, Stern reflects on the last year in Sacramento as well as the legacy he believes he will leave as Commissioner of the National Basketball Association.
