The Don Geronimo Show - April 12, 2012

Today, Phantom brings in a jar of moonshine from his mother-in-law, so Doni of course, calls in Craig to drink some. Craig happily obliges, does 3 shots, and pukes after the second two, all captured on video by Carmichael Dave. Don even does a shot. He doesn't puke, but has a good buzz for a while, as does Craig as well. We then hear about Phantom's post-show drive to the airport with his son Kyle yesterday, before diving into the Sacramento arena issue, and the Maloofs potentially backing out of the deal. Apparently there is a movement trying to get the NBA to oust the Maloofs as owners of the Kings, and as a result, we get a "visit" from David Stern.

After hearing a new Anderson Cooper laugh, we find out that Craig, still high on moonshine, is drunk tweeting, and expressing his distaste for Axl Rose, who has asked to not be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame with the original members of Guns N Roses. We also hear a news clip of a woman named "Georgia Brown" talking about a fire in her apartment complex, and her commentary set to a new autotune song. We then give Slow Joe Ardinger's new game "2 22's" a try. The guys get bored quickly and decide to change it up, making it a search for the "Hi, baby girl" clips in Don's machine. The guys then do some "Peepaoke," in which they stuff their mouths full of marshmallow peeps and try to sing songs from the likes of Styxx, Maroon 5, and Pink Floyd.

We then get an in-studio visit from Comedian Aries Spears, who will be performing at Tommy T's in Rancho Cordova all weekend. Aries tells us about his confrontation with some Miami D.J.'s a few years back, his love for Eddie Murphy, hanging out with Bill Cosby, and does impersonations of Shaq, Denzel, Jay-Z, and even our good buddy Bobby Slayton! After Aries leaves, we get a call from another friend of ours, comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. Bob, who's performing at Tommy T's in San Francisco this weekend, talks about his Showtime special that recently came out, his new movie "God Bless America," and his Hamm's Beer tattoo on his chest.

After Don plays the Aries Spears confrontation with the Miami D.J.'s, in which one of the D.J.'s gives the lame anti-racial argument, "One of my best friends is black," It's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, among the stories: The Atlanta Falcons have been offered this year's "Hard Knocks" on HBO, Burger King's "Bacon Sundae," last week's TV ratings, and the richest people in the history of the world. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
