Woman Calls Police With Bomb Threat At Elk Grove Apartments
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – A woman was arrested in Elk Grove over the weekend after she called police and told them she had a bomb and said she would use it.
Elk Grove Police say the woman was living in the an apartment in the 8800 block of Lewis Stein Road and police gave a credible description of the explosive.
Police evacuated nearby residents as a precaution.
Negotiators spoke with the suspect, who remained in her apartment the entire time, and convinced her to surrender. The woman was taken to a local hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Officials searched the woman's apartment and did not find any trace of a bomb nor materials for constructing one.
It's unknown whether the woman was charged with a crime.
