My Say on Blu-ray Blog: NEW YEAR'S EVE

Well. If nothing else, you can't deny the star power in this one. Heck, even Robert Deniro makes an appearance. So, down to it, is New Year's Eve worth your time??

Well, it depends. If you're in the market for a star studded romantic comedy... this is for you. If you're a meathead single guy who thinks "The Expendables" is romantic... yeah, might wanna stay away.

This one hit theaters to mostly mixed reviews... but it's light and fun, and a good Friday night no-brainer. The cast is unbeatable, and the Blu-ray comes with some fun extras.

This May, Warner and New Line Home Entertainment will bring New Year's Eve to Blu-ray. Director Garry Marshall's follow-up to his seasonal hit Valentine's Day follows a diverse group of New Yorkers through some wild pre-New Year's Eve misadventures.

The film features an all-star ensemble cast that includes Jon Bon Jovi (U-571), Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns), Halle Berry (Monster's Ball), Jessica Biel (The A-Team), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Alyssa Milano (Commando), Zac Efron (Hairspray), Common (American Gangster), Seth Meyers (Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist), Sarah Paulson (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds), Carla Gugino (Sin City), Katherine Heigl (Under Siege 2: Dark Territory), Sofía Vergara (Modern Family), Ashton Kutcher (That '70s Show), Lea Michele (Glee), James Belushi (About Last Night...), Sarah Jessica Parker (Honeymoon in Vegas), Abigail Breslin (Zombieland), Josh Duhamel (Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Jack McGee (The Fighter), Yeardley Smith (The Simpsons), Penny Marshall (Awakenings), Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby), Chris "Ludacris" Bridges (Crash), Hector Elizondo (The Taking of Pelham One Two Three), Ryan Seacrest (Knocked Up), Matthew Broderick (Election), John Lithgow (Blow Out), and Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver).

Warner's Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack presents the film in its 1.85:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The package also contains a number of bonus supplements, such as:
Commentary with Garry Marshall
Three behind-the-scenes featurettes:
- The Magic of Times Square
- New Year's Eve Secrets of the Stars
- Jon Bon Jovi & Lea Michele Rock New Year's Eve
Deleted scenes with Garry Marshall
Gag reel
New Year's Eve is expected to street on May 1st.
