Psalm 95:2- Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Think “Glee” crossed with “Sister Act”. Intruiged?

May 1st, Warner Home Entertainment will bring Joyful Noise to Blu-ray. Director Todd Graff’s musical-comedy stars Dolly Parton (Straight Talk), Queen Latifah (Chicago), Keke Palmer (Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion), Jesse L. Martin (Rent), Courtney B. Vance (The Hunt For Red October), and Kris Kristofferson (He’s Just Not That Into You) in a tale about a small town redeeming itself through the power of music.

From Warner’s official synopsis:

“The small town of Pacashau, Georgia, has fallen on hard times, but the people are counting on the Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the National Joyful Noise Competition. The choir has always known how to sing in harmony, but the discord between its two leading ladies now threatens to tear them apart. Their newly appointed director, Vi Rose Hill [Latifah], stubbornly wants to stick with their tried-and-true traditional style, while the fiery G.G. Sparrow [Parton] thinks tried-and-true translates to tired-and-old. Shaking things up even more is the arrival of G.G.’s rebellious grandson, Randy [newcomer Jeremy Jordan]. Randy has an ear for music, but he also has an eye for Vi Rose’s beautiful and talented daughter, Olivia [Palmer], and the sparks between the two teenagers are causing even more friction between G.G. and Vi Rose.”

While Warner has not yet detailed the technical specifications for this Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo pack, the disc does contain the following supplements:
Spotlight on a Song: Dolly Parton’s “From Here to the Moon”
Three behind-the-scenes featurettes:
– Inspiration of Joyful Noise
– Make Some Noise
– Leading Ladies
Extended songs
Joyful Noise is expected to street on May 1st.
