Ron Paul Suspends Active Campaigning For President

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The only Republican candidate other than Mitt Romney remaining in the race for the White House says he is changing his game plan.

Paul says he will stop spending money in state that have yet to vote in their GOP primaries.

In a statement just released, Paul says he will still try to win delegates for the National Convention and the he will outline a strategy for impacting change within the Republican Party.

So far Paul has 95 delegates to Romney's 941.

Earlier this month, Paul campaigned at UC Davis where a large crowd turned out to hear him speak. At the time, Paul was asked how he could continue to campaign against Romney, who has quite a bit more money, Paul said, "You win the hearts and minds and get the enthusiasm."
