The Don Geronimo Show - June 1, 2012

Don starts the day with the letter he got from the Home Owners Association last night, about the pod in his driveway. Apparently it's an eye sore and has to be removed immediately. We then hear that a new study shows that there's a 10% chance that exercise is bad for us, After Craig tells us about his visit to the Doctor with Gramma Bev yesterday, we hear a new promo by Noodles, who mispronounces the name of a famous actor, and the new bumpers for the show. The guys decide which ones to keep, and try to guess who wrote each one.

Don then tells us that DC Comics is relaunching the Green Lantern as a gay man, and how Little Joe's pursuit of the Octomom is going. We also hear Martin Short forgive Kathie Lee, and Alanis Morrisette on "Good Morning America" saying she's "willing to breastfeed as long as it takes," We then get an in studio visit from comedian Dat Phan, who is performing at the Punchline in Sacramento this weekend. Dat tells us about being on "Last Comic Standing," His DIRECT TV ad, his mom living with him, and seeing Ralphie May naked!

After Dat, we hear that Margaret Cho doesn't want a retarded baby, and Gilbert Gottfried's impersonation of Andrew Dice Clay (which Phantom spazzes out to). We then get a visit from favorite gay, Roy Gilmore. Roy, who will be the M.C. for this weekend's Sacramento Gay Pride event, brings his brother Kit with him, has a little moonshine with Don, and tells us about the time he was engaged (to a WOMAN), and how the Sacramento River Cats asked him to throw out tonight's opening pitch. Don then plays "Make Roy Laugh" with the listeners, but has a little trouble with the phone lines, partly because of the moonshine, partly because of his stubby fingers.

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about DC Comics and their new gay Green Lantern, the "Cleaning Fairy Burglar" getting arraigned today, a 6 year old forges a note to his teacher and this weekend's movie releases. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
