The Don Geronimo Show - June 18, 2012

Don begins by telling us that 2 years ago today was the first episode of his new show in Sacramento. Don talks about trying to do his show from Ocean City, MD in the beginning, then moving out here, and all the craziness in the past two years that he says has been the "best time of his life." Don also tells us about his Fathers Day, in which he got the interior of his car cleaned up, went to his favorite restaurant: Dominic's, and finally saw "The Avengers," which he said was "just OK."

After hearing about a 28 year old Ohio man who was caught getting it on with his teddy bear-again, and discussing Don's own exploitations with his Teddy as a boy, he guys give a recap of the Blind Boxing Match last week, in which Little Joe was clearly robbed by the judges, who awarded the match to Blind Neal.

Rodney King died over the weekend, at the age of 47, and Don asks why the story keeps coming up as "showbiz news." Craig finds it amusing that he was found at the bottom of the pool, and has trouble keeping it together while Don reads the story. We also hear about Craig's verbal assault on Janice from Ceres on Friday, in response to her nasty emails to Don. We then hear a voice mail from an angry Sacramento River Cats fan, who called up the ball club to complain about Manny Ramirez's dreadlocks, before hearing a few new parody songs from Little Joe's show prep site, and then dissecting Gary Puckett's "pedo" songs. It's then time to play some Steve vs. Little Joe Karaoke. Don decides to put both guys out of their elements, by making Joe sing country songs, and Steve sing heavy metal songs.

Don and Steve will be having an iPod battle tomorrow (thanks to Phantom who suggested it), and in the meantime Don goes through his iPod library, just to show us what he has in there. We then hear Obama's press conference over the weekend, in which he goes after an unruly British reporter, and Sarah Palin's idiotic "dog eating" comments, before it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about Shia Lebouf's full frontal nude appearance with Sigur Ros, a Taco Bell prank in Alaska, the opening of "Car Land" at Disneyland's California Adventure, and the weekend's box office numbers. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
