LOS BANOS (CBS13) – A Merced County mother has been arrested for smoking pot with her toddler in the home and having pot cupcakes in the refrigerator, according to officials.

On Thursday, Merced County deputies were doing a probation check at a home in the 1500 block of Canal Farm Lane.

They did not find the probationer but found a 19-year-old woman in the home who admitted to smoking pot with her 1-year-old in the house.

Deputies searched the home and also found methamphetamine, a scale and hydrocodone pills.

There was no food in the home, according to detectives, but they did find two marijuana cupcakes in the refrigerator within reach of the child.

Detectives arrested Monique Rumpf for child endangerment and possession of drugs. The child was released to a family member.
