The Don Geronimo Show - June 22, 2012

Don begins by picking up where we left off yesterday, on a story about a 68 year old bus monitor named Karen Klein, who was bullied by middle school students. A video of the bullying has gone viral, and apparently Karen has received over a half million dollars in donations from sympathetic viewers, leading to her retirement. This gets Steve on his stories of being bullied in high school, and how he got his "revenge" by "beating them up outside of a bar with a baseball bat or tire iron (he doesn't remember)." We then hear an edited version of the bullying, before Don plays us a video of a British dad getting shocked by his car battery every time his son would start the car.

After Don plays an old jingle package he found from 1971, and his days at WPGC, we hear drops from his new Star Trek app. We then hear about Dave Chappelle's unique "comedy" shows as of recent in Austin, TX, and Tampa, Fl, Lebron's press conference after the Miami Heat won the NBA Finals last night, and a radio "psychic" who gets pranked by "Will Smith." It's then time for another visit from our good friend, Sean Salisbury. Sean tells us why he still hates Lebron, what he thinks of the NFL vs. Saints issue, and working out with young QB's who are still in high school. We also get an in-studio visit from comedian Tony Rock. Tony, who will be performing at the Punchline in Sac, tells us what it's like having Chris Rock as his brother, a new comedy album he's working on called "A Funny Thing Happened," his new show, "Apollo Live," and how he picks up women at his shows!

After Tony, Don reads a love letter that Jerry Sandusky wrote to "Victim #4," in which he refers to himself as "having similar qualities as Forrest Gump." It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, a 400 lb woman gets naked on a bus bench, a 110 lb tortilla chip at a British restaurant, Justin Bieber's TV special was a flop, and what movies come out this weekend. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
