Body Found In Stockton Park Is City's 33rd Homicide

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Stockton police are investigating the city's 33rd homicide this year after a jogger found the body of a man in a city park early Thursday morning.

Police were called to Panella Park on Lorraine Avenue around 6:00 a.m. when the jogger found the body of a man who had been shot.

The park is closed as police search for clues into the man's shooting death.

Police found a large pile of coin collection papers and casings in the area of the body.

The name of the victim has not been released.
