Fire Damages Two Rancho Cordova Homes, Cause Unknown
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Two homes on Ganzan Way in Rancho Cordova were damaged by a fast moving fire.
The fire is believed to have started on a fence between both homes and quickly spread in seconds.
Firefighters say Saturday's heat helped the flames get a head start.
Most of the damage was contained to the attics of both homes and the garage of one home.
A woman and two kids were home in one house but made it out safely. No one was living in the other home because it had just been sold.
The cause is still unknown but a barbecue near the fence is not being ruled out yet.
The displaced family is being helped by the Red Cross.
