Modesto Officer Shoots Man After He Reportedly Pulls Out A Knife

MODESTO (CBS13) - Two Modesto Police officers were following up on a felony investigation on Thursday afternoon when a suspect pulled out a knife and was shot by one of the officers.

The incident happened in the 1200 block of Muirswood Way in a well-kept, established Modesto neighborhood. Two officers were inside the home when the suspect approached with a knife.

An officer shot the suspect who was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. His name wasn't released.

Neither of the officers were injured.
