Sheriff: Roseville Man Promoted Huge Teen Alcohol Parties On Facebook

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A Roseville man has been arrested for promoting huge parties on Facebook aimed at providing alcohol for teens including one where deputies discovered hundreds of underage party-goers drinking booze, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Department.

The party planner was discovered after deputies busted up a large party on July 16 at a home in the 8200 block of Quartzite Circle in Granite Bay where they found hundreds of juveniles drinking alcohol. As deputies broke up the gathering, partygoers pelted them with bottles and other objects.

The primary occupant of that home was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of minors and another person was arrested for DUI as he left the party.

After getting a tip that another large party was being planned at a separate location in Loomis, deputies began investigating.

They discovered that 19-year-old Zachary Fischer had planned the July 16 Granite Bay party and was planning an August 3 party in Loomis. Deputies say 4,000 juveniles had been invited to the upcoming party and that Fischer had also been hiring teens to tend bar and provide security for the event.

The 'Public Event' page posted by Fischer said there would be a keg, 25lb medical grade nitrous oxide and a fully stocked bar at the party.

Below is the verbatim description of the party posted to Zach's event page:

Deputies caught up with Fischer on Tuesday and arrested him on charges related to the July 16 party including conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of minors. He has since been released on bail.

CBS 13 attempted to talk to Zach at his home, but he said he did not want to talk.
