The Grant Napear Show - July 26, 2012

Jason Ross sat in once again while Grant spends the week on vacation.

After chatting about the A's win streak coming to a close today as well as NFL fan loyalties, the 2012-13 NBA schedule was released and revealed the Kings will open the season on Halloween on the road at the Chicago Bulls.

Tom Lemming of CBS Sports checked in to talk some college football, leading off with his thoughts on the recent sanctions against Penn State and how the program will try to continue filling their roster with talent despite four seasons without postseason eligibility.

The Rant today was again a replay of one of Grant's Classics, this time with him raving about slow pace of play on a golf course - but with a twist: it was edited into the "Mini-Grant" voice.

Kate Longworth of Comcast SportsNet says the Oakland A's clubhouse is becoming a fun place to work every day because the players believe in themselves and their teammates. She talked about the upcoming trade deadline and if the players feel like a major acquisition could cause a problem with team chemistry before having the interview cut short due to some unique and rather interesting circumstances. Kate would later reconnect with Jason to finish up her thoughts on the A's torrid July. Kate also covers the Raiders for CSN and talked about how the team looks as they begin training camp.

Local boxer Otis Griffin joined to hype his next fight, talking about everything from his inspirations in the boxing world to the music he likes to listen to to get pumped up for his fights.
