The Don Geronimo Show - August 2, 2012

Don begins the day with a clip of a disc jockey at WGMD, the station Don worked at during his hiatus, quitting his job on the air. The guys then discuss the Chick Fil-A controversy, and the anti-gay picketing that has been going on. Don then calls in Ron Ron and Billy-Danny from promotions, and sends them out to the Chick-Fil-A in Roseville to give away Dark Knight passes. Don then tells us about the e-mails he got, one regarding Rio Linda High School needing a speaker from then station to come by and talk about the radio business. Don decides this would be perfect for Craig, since he has the least amount of experience of everyone on the show! Don then reads an email from a "Laura S," who claims that Craig and Paris have been engaged since January, and hasn't told anybody. Craig, who doesn't know a "Laura S," nor does Paris, explains the semi "engagement" talk they had at the 49er NFC Championship game they went to, clarifies the truth and tries to figure out who would not only try to rat him out, but falsify the information.

We then get a visit from comedian, and Saturday Night Live cast member, Jay Pharoah. Jay, who is appearing at Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco this weekend, talks about being on SNL, his audition for producer Lorne Michaels, does a few of his impersonations, including Stewie Griffin, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, and Nick Cannon. He even does an intro for Phantom News! The guys then play a few rounds of "Stump The Stoop," before we get an in studio visit from actor and former SNL cast member Chris Kattan. Chris, who is performing at the Punchline in Sacramento Thur-Sat, tells us about his time on SNL, and his audition, as well as movies he's done since his SNL days. He also does his David Lee Roth and Antonio Banderas impersonations, tells us who his favorite late night guys are, and also does an intro for Phantom News!

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about a new Larry David movie on HBO in the making, US Airways giving premium meal options to coach passengers for $19.99, 3 commuter jets almost collide in midair, and a new Bob Dylan album is coming out soon. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
