LINDA (CBS13) – The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that took place a block away from Yuba College in Linda on Thursday morning.

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired near Cecelia Way and College View Drive at about 7:30 a.m. and found one person injured.

Witnesses say someone fired a shot from a silver or grey four-door pick-up into another car. The bullet hit the driver’s door and the driver was injured by shrapnel.

Witnesses say there were at least two Hispanic men in the pick-up.

Deputies are now search for the suspects.

The name of the victim has not been released.
