SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento police officer says he was forced to shoot a pit bull on Monday morning.
The officers were responding to a domestic violence call in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue at 6:46 a.m. when the two dogs charged. One dog cornered the officer, forcing him to shoot the dog multiple times.
The dog was injured but not killed.
Animal control was called and took both dogs.
