LODI (CBS13) – The morning commute turned into a squishy mess in Lodi early Wednesday after a truck carrying grapes spilled its load.

The accident happened on the off ramp from Interstate 5 to Highway 12.

The spilled grapes caused the roadway to become slick and there were reports that drivers had a hard time stopping for the light.

CHP crews cleaned up the grapes and sprayed water on the roadway to wash away any grape juice.

No injuries were reported.
