The Don Geronimo Show - September 7, 2012

Don begins by telling us what he would do with Drew Peterson if he was King (shoot him into space on an exploding rocket), and then tells us about his next door neighbors, who have a giant inflatable "49er guy" in their front yard. The KHTK VW Beetle is still for sale, and Don does some more lobbying for G.M. Steve to give him the car, so he can give it away to a listener. Don then calls his wife Janet, who says the "49er guy" has been taken down, and that Don will be the prime suspect if it is indeed stolen. Janet then tells us that Don would never kill her because he's "too lazy."

After Don reads a Kirk/Spock story emailed to him by a listener, about the guys on the show, we get another visit from our good buddy, comedian Frank Caliendo. Frank, who will be performing at the San Jose Improv on September 21st-22nd, talks about not being on FOX NFL for the first time in 10 years, tries out his new "Herm Edwards" voice, and appearing on ESPN a few weeks ago. Don then calls Big Freda, who turns 89 tomorrow. Don wishes her a happy birthday, and Steve even sings it while playing his guitar. we then hear Gabby Giffords' Pledge Of Allegiance at last night's Democratic National Convention, and the guys play another round of "Stump The Stoop."

We then get an in studio visit from comedian Dov Davidoff. Dov, who is performing at the Punchline in Sac all weekend, talks about a new movie about him, in which Johnny Knoxville will be playing the part of him, and Renee Zellweger will be directing it. He also talks about his unique upbringing, losing his virginity at 12, and even does an intro for Phantom News!

After the guys pick the NFL games, and Don makes his weekly call to Green Bay, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us that Khloe Kardashian is slated to host "X Factor," which movies are coming out this weekend, the "Best Vocal Performances in Rock n Roll History," and Texas approves an 85 mph speed limit. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
