Boy Reportedly Asked To Get Into Stranger's Pickup Near School In Woodland

WOODLAND (CBS13) - A 12-year-old boy was reportedly asked by a stranger to get into his pickup truck early Tuesday evening, Woodland police said.

The boy was outside Lee Middle School at 520 West Street at about 5:20 p.m. when a Hispanic man pulled up.

The man reportedly asked the boy, "Do you want to know what time it is? Do you want to look in the truck? Do you want to get in the truck?"

After the boy told the man "no" in response to each question, the man drove away from the area, police said.

The man was described as a balding Hispanic with a short goatee and tattoos covering his right arm, including a snake wrapped around a dagger.

The vehicle was described a late-model gray pickup with a white sheet covering an unknown object in the bed.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Woodland police dispatch at (530) 666-2411.
