SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Want to know how to track the Space Shuttle Endeavour as it makes its tour over California, including the Capitol? Twitter is the answer.
NASA Ames will be sending out regular tweets updating the shuttle’s progress, and reporting any changes to Endeavour’s planned route using the hashtags #spottheshuttle and #OV105, which is Endeavour’s vehicle designation. They’re asking anyone who photographs the shuttle and tweets about it, to use the same hashtags.
Ames latest tweets can be found at @NASAAmes, and on the NASA Ames homepage at www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/home/index.html.
The shuttle is expected to fly over Sacramento on Friday morning at around 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
You don’t need to be at the top of any downtown towers to get a good view of the shuttle. You can go to any parking garage.
If you have a problem with heights, there is always the River Walk. The shuttle is planning to make a loop over downtown Sacramento, so what better view than that? Or you can just take NASA’s word for it and head to the Capitol lawn and look up.
