Chris Rose of MLB Network breaks down the MLB playoffs, from the surprise of the Oakland A’s winning the AL West to the Texas Rangers’ chances of advancing deep into October after choking away the division lead in the final series of the season and doing so with a struggling Josh Hamilton. Rose also shifts his focus to the NL, saying he ultimately likes the Giants in the NLDS against the Reds but that Cincinnati can’t be taken lightly because they have power arms at the back end of the bullpen to go with one of the most potent offenses in the league. Rose also works for NFL Network and spends some time previewing Thursday night’s NFL matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams.
