The Grant Napear Show - October 10, 2012

Greg Gumbel of CBS Sports joined to give his forecast for this Sunday's matchup in Atlanta between the Oakland Raiders and the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are one of the top teams in the league through the early part of the season, and quarterback Matt Ryan appears to be making the leap from a good quarterback to a great one, in part due to weapons like Michael Turner, Julio Jones, and Roddy White to go with surefire Hall-of-Famer Tony Gonzalez. Greg also looks around the league to date, saying that the Houston Texans are the best team in the AFC and the superb play of J.J. Watt has made it clear why the Texans were willing to give up Mario Williams to the Bills without much of a fight. The struggling New York Jets were also a topic of conversation, as their putrid start has led some to question whether Mark Sanchez is the right guy to lead that offense with Tim Tebow waiting in the wings.

Ted Robinson, play-by-play voice of the San Francisco 49ers, previewed this weekend's showdown between the Niners and the New York Giants at Candlestick Park, a rematch of last season's NFC Championship game. Robinson discusses the way the Niners' offense has evolved since last year, as the team has established itself as one of the top offensive threats in the league thanks to a few key additions on offense. Ted also talks about MLB Playoffs after the Giants stayed alive behind an eight-run outburst today in Cincinnati and a strong performance out of the bullpen by Tim Lincecum.
