The Grant Napear Show – October 11, 2012

Ahmad Brooks of the 49ers talked about the feeling around the team’s facilities heading into this week’s matchup against the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants after the Giants eliminate the Niners in overtime during last year’s NFC Championship game.

Brian Baldinger of NFL Network joined to forecast week six in the NFL and discuss some of the top teams in the league.

Thom Brennaman, Fox Sports broadcaster and voice of the Cincinnati Reds, checked in to look back at the Reds’ collapse against the Giants during the National League Division Series. The Reds won the first two games of the series in San Francisco before going back to Cincinnati and dropping three straight to give up the series. Brennaman points to a baserunning error by Brandon Phillips in game three as a potential turning point in the series, as the Reds lost that game 2-1 despite the Giants only registering three hits. Thom is also scheduled to be on the call for this Sunday’s NFL matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants. The Giants and Niners may very well end up being the top two teams in the NFC at season’s end, says Brennaman, but the Giants have a brutal schedule ahead to finish out the season.
