1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Modesto Shooting Sunday Night

MODESTO (CBS13) - Modesto police are investigating a deadly shooting that left one person dead and another in the hospital.

Police say the victims were together in front of a house on Conant Avenue off Highway 99 just before 11:00 Sunday night when they were confronted by a group. It's unclear if the suspects arrived on foot or in a car.

Someone in that group started shooting and two people were hit by bullets.

Both victims were taken to the hospital where one, a teenage boy, later died.

The other victim is expected to survive.

No suspects have been arrested.
