Overturned Hay Truck Closes Southbound Interstate 5 Near Twin Cities Road

SOUTH SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in South Sacramento were shut down Monday morning after a truck carrying hay overturned dumping its load all over the roadway.

The accident happened just after 9:00 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Twin Cities Road.

The truck trailer flipped over scattering about 50 to 60 large bales of hay in the roadway.

Traffic was backed up in the are until the accident was cleared and the lanes re-opened just after 10:30 a.m.
