Today on the Grant Napear Show, there was a lot of World Series talk, as well as talk about week 8 in the NFL, and the upcoming NBA season. Grant discussed the Sacramento Kings’ preseason performance, gave his picks for week 8 of the NFL, as well as why he doesn’t think the World Series will get back to San Francisco. He took calls about the Cowboys and Giants game on Sunday, as well as the San Francisco Giants following their win to go up two games to none in the World Series. Grant interviewed Joe Buck and Keith Smart.
Joe Buck from Fox Sports was on with Grant today to talk about the World Series. Joe discussed Gene Lamont’s decision to send Prince Fielder home with no outs in the 2nd inning. He also talked about the Giants dominant pitching, and the various ways in which they can win games. Finally, Joe talked about what, if anything, the Tigers can do to climb out of a 0-2 hole.
Sacramento Kings’ Head Coach Keith Smart joined Grant today to discuss the Kings’ upcoming season. Coach Smart discussed how the team progressed in the offseason, what they still need to work on following the preseason and what Marcus Thornton does that helps the Kings win. He also talked about building the team around the right kind of people, as well as how the team’s roster looks as the season draws near. Finally, he talked about Tyreke Evans, and where the team will really concentrate on improving before the opener at Chicago on Wednesday.
