4 Teens Hospitalized After Car Plunges Over Cliff

GLENDORA, Calif. (AP) — Four teenagers are hospitalized after their car plunged off a Southern California mountain road.

The Nissan went over the side of the Angeles National Forest road late Wednesday near the mile marker 6.2.

Although the teens managed to get out of the Nisan Sentra and climb to the road, a Los Angeles County fire dispatcher tells City News Service that two of them were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

It's not known how far the Nissan traveled over the side of the road.

The names of the teenagers, who range from 17 to 19 years old, are being withheld.

KTTV-TV says winding Glendora Mountain Road is frequently used for street racing and investigators believe believed the Nissan was involved in a race at the time of the crash.
