SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man living in the Rosemont neighborhood of Sacramento will be spending Christmas night in jail. He’s accused of throwing knives at deputies.

The suspect’s step father called 9-1-1 Tuesday saying the man was acting strange.

When deputies arrived, they say the man threw the knives at them then barricaded himself inside an apartment.

Officers shot tear gas inside, which caused the man to surrender.
