TURLOCK (CBS13) – A man suspected of gunning down a man in Turlock on Saturday has been arrested.

At 9:15 p.m. Saturday, police responded to calls of shots fired in the 800 block of South Avenue. When they arrived, they found 35-year-old David Hernandez with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Ernesto Negrete, 20, of Turlock Sunday during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of N. Olive Avenue. He was booked on charges of murder and possession of methamphetamine.
