FOLSOM (CBS13) – Police responding to a burglar alarm at a Folsom jewelry store found it empty, only to come back later when an employee heard noises coming from the ceiling.
Folsom police officers were called out to Sharif Jewelers, 341 Iron Point Road, at 6:36 a.m. Thursday when the alarm went off. They checked the outside and then walked through the store with an employee and cleared the building, Sgt. Jason Browning said.
The employee stayed behind and, hearing rustling in the ceiling, called police back.
With the assistance of a Sacramento County Sheriff’s K9, officers found a 24-year-old man hiding in the ceiling rafters.
The man was arrested and was being booked on burglary charges.
