UPDATE: Suspect Identified In Tahoe Park Standoff

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A suspect holed up in the Tahoe Park neighborhood surrendered peacefully to police Wednesday afternoon.

The Sacramento Police Department's SWAT team responded to the 2700 block of 64th Street for a possible hostage situation around 1 p.m. Sacrament police said that its SWAT team was called on to assist after an earlier CHP pursuit ended after 49-year-old Antwan Adger crashed his vehicle into a parked car in the area of Kroy Way and Broadway and fled on foot.

A woman exited a residence unharmed some time after 2 p.m. along with two dogs. Adger came out some time after 3 p.m.

Streets were blocked off and nearby homes were evacuated during the standoff.

Adger was arrested for kidnapping, false imprisonment, burglary and an outstanding arrest warrant.
