Suspect Sought In Robbery Of Elk Grove Florist

ELK GROVE (CBS13) - The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying the suspect involved in an armed robbery and a city florist earlier this week.

The robbery took place at the Nina's Flowers located at 8517 Elk Grove Boulevard on Monday at about 11:30 a.m. The suspect entered the store and confronted an employee, brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the cash register.

The employee complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. He left on foot and was last seen walking through the parking lot.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, mid-20s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with facial hair. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front left chest area and a colored logo on the back, a white shirt protruding from under the sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and white athletic shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Tips can also be sent via text message by entering CRIMES (274637), followed by Tip732 and the message.
