Warming Trend Continues; Chance Of Showers Next Week

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Things are clearing up nicely in the Sacramento Valley Thursday morning.

Temperatures are still in the mid 40s in the foothills and in the teens in the mountains, but things will definitely heat up. Unfortunately it'll be a melter in Lake Tahoe where temperatures will get up to 50 degrees.

Winds are out of the east in the foothills. In the valley, winds are out of the northwest at 3-5 mph.

A dominant ridge of high pressure is keeping us mild this time of year. It'll get up to 60 degrees along the coast and 63 in the valley.

The trend of cold mornings and warm afternoons will continue. The high for Super Bowl Sunday is 63 degrees. Expect to see skies clouds up by Tuesday of next week with a chance of a shower next Wednesday.
