SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Back here at home several businesses were saved by firefighters after an auto repair shop went up in flames. At around 2 a.m. Monday, officials say Chet & Cliff’s Garage on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento caught fire.
Customers walking out of a hookah lounge down the block spotted the flames.
“We seen the building on fire, and so we came over here and a guy standing out here. He didn’t really call the cops or anything, so we called the cops,” said a witness.
Firefighters say that quick call helped them get to the scene and get a handle on the fire before it could spread to other businesses.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The fire appears to have started in the office.
