Katt Williams Appears At Court Date In Sacramento County

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Comedian Micah "Katt" Williams finally showed up to his Sacramento County court date Wednesday afternoon after missing the three previous hearings.

Williams was spotted in the hall and stopped to talk to a TV reporter.

He ask the reporter why he didn't have a press pass and why he was recording him on a cell phone. Williams then asked the reporter if he was a stalker.

As this was happening, two women escorting Williams tried to block our reporter's cell phone as he was trying to shoot video.

Williams is due in court for a felony charge that he led CHP on a chase through Downtown Sacramento. He told CBS13's Ian Schwarts that this was a "witch hunt," and that he never led police on a chase.

Williams' lawyer tells CBS13 he hopes to file a motion to recall the bench warrant for Williams and set up a future court date to address the charges.

His next court date is scheduled for February 20 at 8:30 a.m.
