SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento sheriff’s deputies are searching for a gunman who shot two men inside an Arden-Arcade home on Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say the suspect fired several times through the front screen door of the victim’s home on Cathedral Court shortly before 5 p.m. One victim reportedly jumped out a second-floor window to escape.

Neighbors say there were children playing in the area when the shooting took place.

“I just heard gunshots and I ran and said, ‘Where’s my babies? Where’s my babies.’ And, I was worried about the little kids; we got more kids than adults here,” one witness said.

The incident may have stemmed from a fight out front in the street that happened about an hour prior to the shooting.
