Animal Rescue Fundraiser Offering Free Smooches From A Donkey

CHINO HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Red Bucket Rescue needs money. So they are holding a fundraiser in Chino Hills Wednesday featuring kisses from Joey, a 5-month-old donkey that is going to need a lot of money for medical bills.

Rescue founder Susan Peirce says Joey and his mother Lizzie were among five donkeys rescued from the Bureau of Land Management.

Trampled by his herd at 2-days-old, Joey suffered traumatic injury to his eye and it might have to be removed. He is also the 150th horse or donkey rescued by the group.

Peirce says Valentine's Day is Thursday, so a kissing booth made good sense.

The kisses are free but donations are welcome.
