Don begins the day talking with the guys about the frosty morning, and how his car doors were frozen shut when he came out to start the car. We also hear that there is a big HR meeting next week with the station, and this gets Don talking about the most ridiculous meetings he’s ever had with CBS, and the loud horn that was installed to go off whenever they hit the “dump” button. After discussing a birthday gift for G.M. Steve, we hear more gruesome details regarding the guy who was offered a bounty to castrate Justin Bieber, and find out what parts of Drew’s body he would give up for a lifetime supply of weed.
We also hear a few clips, including Clive Davis on Katie Couric saying he’s bisexual, a Texas woman calls 911 asking for cigarettes, an Oklahoma man spontaneously combusts, and Don reads a list of the top 10 actresses that turn men off. The guys then get into an extensive discussion about what rock bands pulled the most tail in their heyday, before we get a visit from comedian Kathleen Madigan. Kathleen, who is performing at Cache Creek on Saturday, talks with Don about writing for Garry Shandling, the late night shows she likes the most, and going overseas to perform for our troops.
After another epic phone scan, which lasts almost an hour, it’s time for the “Phantom News.” Today, the season premiere of “Weed Country” tonight, Steve Carell will appear on “Pawn Stars,” and a new Jimi Hendrix album to be released on March 5. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
