The Grant Napear Show – February 20, 2013
The Grant Napear show was on location, coming live from Bella Bru cafe in Natomas – a day fraught with a few technical difficulties and wild surprises. In the first part of the show, Grant talked about the Kings and basketball IQ. He said that the Sacramento players make some of the worst mistakes during clutch moments in the game.
During the next segment, Grant spoke with Warriors analyst Matt Steinmetz with CSN Bay Area who talked about the Warriors 6-game losing streak. Matt said that it is a very crucial game tonight against the Phoenix Suns. If the Warriors lose that game, Matt said he will then be worried about the Warriors chances.
In the last part of the show there was breaking news regarding the Kings. In a surprising move, the Kings traded Thomas Robinson, Francisco Garcia, and Tyler Honeycutt to the Rockets in exchange for Patrick Patterson, center Cole Aldrich and guard Toney Douglas. Callers flooded the phone lines to weigh in on the surprising trade. Most of the callers felt that we gave up Thomas Robinson too early because he has so much potential. Grant said he would rather have a good player who has proven himself already rather then waiting for a rookie to show how good he can be.
