WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento River Cats auditioned singers on Saturday to belt out the national anthem at Raley Field during home games this season, including two of our own at CBS13.

This year the team reserved one spot for a member of the media. CBS13′s new morning anchor Audrey Asistio bravely took to the field and gave it her best shot, as did morning producer Margaret Stewart. The two sang together.

The River Cats said about 50 singers from last year were asked back to sing at games this season so they are looking to fill 25 spots from among about 60 who auditioned Saturday.

There was no immediate word on which singers the team picked.
