The Grant Napear Show – March 12, 2013
The day started off with a surprising number of NFL trades. The Grant Napear show began with Grant talking about DeMarcus Cousins ejection during the game against the Bucks. Cousins spoke to the media saying that his elbow to Mike Dunleavy’s face was unintentional. Grant was fired up over the fact that Cousins expected us to believe that his elbow was unintentional. Callers commented on how this is such a re occurring thing with Cousins and that it is sickening. Grant felt that the best idea would be to trade DeMarcus and be done with it.
In the next part of the show Grant talked about how Derrick Rose should be playing if his knee is feeling better. His brother may have sparked a bit of controversy by saying that Derek should not rush back from his injury. During Grants Rant he talked about Dwight Howard’s comment to the Orlando fans. Howard said he was sorry if he offended anyone in Orlando on how he handled things when he left the Magic. Grant said that apologizing before going to the game in Orlando does not help anyone, it is just ridiculous. Grant also reported that the Raiders let go of both of there top 10 picks Michael Huff and Darrius Heyward-Bey. Many Raider fans felt that it is going to take a while to rebuild the team to it’s former glory.
In the last hour of the show Grant was joined in studio by Jason Thompson. Jason talked about his experience in Sacramento and how he is hoping the Kings stay here in Sacramento and that the logistics are figured out quickly. Fans called in and asked Jason how he gets prepared for games. Jason said that he likes to stay lose and his pregame hand shake reflects that. A fan from Jason Thompson’s previous University called in and told the show that the whole College appreciates everything that he has done. Jason Thompson and Grant also argued about The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants. Jason joked about how he thought Mike Vick was the future of the franchise.
