Truckee Trio Arrested In Connection With Burglaries Of Homes And Cars
TRUCKEE (CBS13) - Three people were arrested in Truckee in connection with several residential and vehicle burglaries.
An investigation into the crimes led Truckee police to Anthony Torres, 19, who is a gang member. After obtaining a search warrant, officers searched Torres who allegedly had a large amount of crystal methamphetamine and cash. He was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale. He was charged in connection with several burglaries.
The investigation next led police next to Sergio Sanchez, 19, who was suspected of acting as an accomplice to Torres in the burglaries. When he was approached by police, Sanchez reportedly ran, got into the vehicle of his girlfriend, Sabrina Kantlehner, and tried to hide. Police found him in the back of the car and arrested him. Sanchez was reportedly in possession of crystal methamphetamine. He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, and attempted burglary.
Kantlehner, 18, was arrested on the charge of aiding and abetting a known felon.
